Eye of the Storm

A good friend of mine: Lewis Morgan ~ Storyteller and Author ~ who also goes by the name of Zebong - Teller of Tales has penned a fabulous story ... and I, I have put pen to paper myself and come up with some illustrations to embellish the pages.

First Storm of Autumn is an intriguing tale of pirates, treasures, tree-houses, chainsaws, and more!

"A haunted ladder. A pirate's dagger. The greatest tree house ever built.
Scott promised his father that he would defend the family, but when your tree house is threatened by the chainsaw wielding pirate next door, there is only one option.
Stay the course and set sail into the jaws of the First Storm of Autumn!"

“It was given to me by an Arabian pirate prince. We sank his ship after a terrible battle and in exchange for sparing his life he gave me this.” Dad fixed Scott with a steely gaze. “You can have it if you make me a promise.”

First Storm of Autumn is currently available on Kickstarter ... in fact you better get in quick if you'd like to secure a copy, as there are only three days remaining! Funding has been reached, so if you you are keen on getting your hands on one, it will be a certainty!

There are various pledge levels available, One or more copies can be gleaned. you can also obtain Lewis' book "The Climbing Competition", from his previous successful Kickstarter.

Fine art giclée prints of the full-page illustrations I have created are also available - perfect for framing and hanging over your settee :)

If you're keen for a gander, please don't hesitate to check out the First Storm of Autumn on Kickstarter now!

Le Grande Totem

A couple of weeks back I got to create this set of pieces for an avid Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island player, from Boston, Massachusetts.
He requested a Morale marker, similar to one I had had made previously, in a double-faced totem style ...but this one was to be extra chunky!
At twice the height of the previous, it certainly has quite the nice weight to it :) Fun to sculpt too.

Sad face.

Happy face.

The usual suspects.

Cosy.

Thatching the roof.

Preparing to defend the estate.

Tropical bliss.

Don't let PETA see this.

Leathery hides.

Mmmmm... yummy!

Nuts from below.

Paradise ...or is it?

A home away from home.

Yes, the Ti-pi is sitting on the lid of Mombasa,
another fabulous game!

Tasty morsels.

Surf and turf.

A smorgasbord of organic, GE-free produce.

Nice and chunky.

Good times.

Hopefully this'll keep that pesky tiger away from our steak.

A good day at the office.

Packaged up (almost) and ready to send!

If you'd like, you can check out a bit more of my Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island pimpage here.

Something a Little Fishy

Salmon was on the menu with this recently commissioned Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island component pimp.

It was certainly enjoyable working on some different fins from my regular fishies and to get a nice blend of coloured clays to give them that recognisable (hopefully) salmonesque appearance.

Delicious with some dill and a squeeze of lemon.

You have to cook those tasty fish somewhere...

Cookin' with gas!

Somewhere to relax after a fine meal.

A few other things lurk on this island.

Crates, washed upon the shore.

Wood ...always useful.

Set the table, it's dinner time!

Back in the Dungeon!

It seems like only mere days have passed since Darcy Perry of Star Hat Miniature's first amazingly successful KickStarter project, and already another is up and running ...and half way to its goal in little more than a day, if that.

Delvers Lost in the Dungeons of Doom! 2 is here, sporting a range of sweet new miniatures to suit your table-top RPG adventuring needs.

So far we have the below party of shady individuals, but I have a feeling we will be seeing more in the mix when those Stretch Goals start appearing and that Epic Pledge is snatched up.

From Chomsky the psychotic chainsaw-wielding gnome,
to Brynhildr the cross-dressing elven axe-man/maiden;
never a group of adventurers of more dubious morals has been known.

And then there's St. Andre Troll,
a fine shout out to Kenneth Eugene St. Andre, author of the superb Tunnels & Trolls RPG!
Watch that hammer!

So if you want in on some of this awesome heroic-scale fantasy pewter miniature action, head over now to Darcy's Delvers Lost in the Dungeons of Doom! 2 KickStarter page and get in on one of the pledges. You won't regret it.
